Elizabeth Sue Horne (Lizzie) was born December 21, 2008 at 4:30 am she weighed 8lbs 5oz and was 20 inches long. We are all doing really well and feel very blessed to have two beautiful children. Ethan was so excited to visit her in the hospital and he brought her a special doll. When we came home from the hospital he was waiting for us outside and was jumping up and down saying "Lizzies Here!". He put a movie on the television and wouldn't let me take her out of the room because he wanted to watch it with her! She is 3 weeks old today and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. It seems like we just brought her home yesterday.

It's Christmas Time!
Ethan absolutely loves Christmas and right now it's not even about the presents. He loves to decorate the trees and see the lights. Thanksgiving night we helped put up my mom's tree and a couple of days later she took out her small tree and let Ethan decorate it all by himself. He actually did a really good job and is extra proud of his little tree. When it came time for us to put up our tree I thought that Ethan would be completely over his excitement, but once again I was wrong! He is so into Christmas that he will wish complete strangers Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! My mom got him a little Santa hat which he loves to wear when we go out, at least I don't have to worry about his head being cold!
Ethan's finished room!
The best daddy!
When I was pregnant with Ethan we put together my dream nursery. My parents even came over and helped us paint his room, clouds and all. A couple of weeks after Ethan was born we sold our house and he never got to sleep in his room.
When we found out that we were going to have another baby we were sure that it was another boy so I assumed that Ethan would share his room. When we found out that we were having a girl I wanted to have my nursery back but there was no room in our new house. Owen being a great dad and husband gave up his office so that Lizzie could have her room and I could have my nursery. I can never thank him enough for doing this for us. In the past year he has given up so much for our family.
Below are some pictures of the nursery (my mom made her curtains!)

Movie Eater (theater)
The day before Thanksgiving I decided to take Ethan to see his first movie in the theater. He was so excited, especially since our friends Brittany and Kasen were going with us. I was really worried that Ethan wouldn't make it through the movie but he proved me wrong! I had to sit out with him during the previews because he found them scary but once the movie started he was completely into it. We went to see Madagascar2 and he still hasn't stopped talking about it.

Mommy's little helper
Like father like son....Ethan has now decided that he no longer likes to go to the grocery store so since going without him is not an option I had to come up with something to get him to go. I decided to try the little shopping carts at Ralph's and it did the trick. The only problem is that I have to put something heavy in it right away to slow him down and I can't load up on groceries! This picture was our first shopping trip with the new cart and it was been very successful!
